In the 1950s, Ross Company pioneered the mobile concrete batch plant, marking the humble beginnings of concrete plant manufacturing in the United States and laying the groundwork for the CPMB standards. Ross swiftly emerged as a leading North American manufacturer, exporting its plants globally. After years of industry dominance, founders Bob and Bud Ross sold the company. Following a brief period under a company subsequently acquired by Terex, the multi-billion-dollar parent company divested Ross and several other subsidiaries.
Keith Ringler and Vann Stanford revived the company under the name R&S Industries. Over approximately fifteen years, under their leadership, R&S Industries ascended to become one of the top three manufacturers in the nation. The product line expanded to encompass central mixers, twin-shaft mixers, dry batch concrete plants, large wet batch paving plants, mobile and stationary plants, silos of various sizes, conveyors, and all other essential components for the concrete industry.
R&S Industries was subsequently acquired by Loadcraft. At that time, Vann and Keith departed from the company to pursue other ventures. R&S was then acquired by AJS Worldwide in 2017 and rebranded as Liddell Industries Inc., a company that sells both Concrete Batch Plants and Heavy Haul Trailers.
In 2024, Vann Stanford rejoined the company to lead Sales and Design within the concrete division. With Vann’s return, Liddell Industries Inc. now offers its Concrete Products once again under the esteemed R&S Industries banner, dedicated to delivering the highest quality and most innovative designs to the concrete industry.
